This Policy on the Use of Cookies and Similar Technologies (the “Policy”) sets out the procedure and conditions for using such technologies when visiting the publicly accessible parts of the websites https://camp-box.ru and https://camp-boxtech.com (together the “Websites”, each a “Website”).
The operator of the Websites is Travel Labs LLC (OOO “TRAVEL LABS”), whose details are given in section 5 of this Policy.
The Policy contains information on the purpose of the technologies used, the information obtained, retention periods, the third-party services involved and the ways to manage user settings. The set of technologies used may differ between the Websites. Information on the technologies used on each Website is given in the list provided for in clause 2.5 of this Policy.
If the information obtained using these technologies constitutes personal data, it is also processed in accordance with the Personal Data Processing Policy of the CampBox software and Websites, available via a link on each Website.
Analytics, marketing and other non-essential technologies are used only after the user makes the corresponding choice in the cookie management tool. Visiting the Website, continuing to use it, scrolling the page or closing the notice do not in themselves constitute consent to their use.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored in the browser on the user's device (computer, smartphone, tablet or other device) when visiting the Website. On subsequent visits, the Website may recognise the user's browser using previously stored cookies.
In addition to cookies, the Website may use other similar technologies for storing and processing information, including Local Storage, Session Storage and other technologies that allow information to be saved in the user's browser. Unless expressly provided otherwise in this Policy, the provisions of this Policy apply equally to such technologies.
The Operator uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- ensuring the operation, security and proper functioning of the Website, including the operation of contact forms;
- saving certain user settings and technical parameters of the Website;
- obtaining statistical information on Website traffic, analysing user behaviour and improving the Website;
- measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and analysing user acquisition sources.
Strictly necessary cookies are used regardless of the user's choice, as certain sections and services of the Website cannot function properly without them. Analytics, advertising and other non-essential cookies are used only after the user has given the relevant consent through the cookie management tool on the Website.
The user may at any time change the previously selected cookie settings or delete stored cookies using their browser. If strictly necessary cookies are disabled or deleted, certain features of the Website may not work correctly or may become unavailable.
2. Which cookies do we use?
Depending on their purpose, the following categories of cookies are used on the Websites:
2.1. Strictly necessary cookies
Strictly necessary cookies are cookies and similar technologies without which it is impossible to transmit information, ensure the security of the Website or provide a feature directly requested by the user. They also include the technologies needed to save the user's cookie choice.
Such technologies are used only to the extent necessary for the relevant feature and are not used for advertising tracking or non-essential analytics.
Strictly necessary cookies are used to ensure the operation of the Websites. The user may block them in their browser settings; however, in this case certain features of the Websites may become unavailable.
2.2. Session and persistent cookies
Depending on their retention period, cookies are divided into:
- session cookies — temporary cookies that exist only during the current browser session and are automatically deleted when the browser is closed;
- persistent cookies — cookies that remain on the user's device after the browser session ends, for the period set for the relevant cookie or until the user deletes them.
Depending on its purpose, each category of cookies used on the Website may include both session and persistent cookies.
2.3. Analytics cookies
The Websites use analytics cookies of the Yandex Metrica service, including the Webvisor feature, designed to obtain statistical information on the use of the Websites, analyse user behaviour and improve the functionality of the Websites.
Analytics cookies may be used to collect information, including:
- the number of visits and the duration of user sessions;
- the sequence of pages viewed;
- clicks, link clicks and page scrolling;
- click maps, scroll maps and recordings of user sessions (Webvisor);
- traffic sources, search queries, UTM tags and other parameters of advertising clicks;
- information about the user's device, browser, operating system, screen resolution, browser language and approximate geographic area.
Analytics cookies may also be used by the Operator to analyse the effectiveness of advertising campaigns run through the Yandex Direct service.
When the Yandex Metrica service, including the Webvisor feature, is used, cookies necessary for the operation of the web analytics service may be created on the user's device, including for:
- distinguishing unique visitors to the Website;
- generating traffic statistics;
- analysing user actions on the Website;
- ensuring the operation of the Webvisor feature;
- identifying user traffic sources;
- storing certain technical parameters of the service.
When the Webvisor feature is used, personal data masking is applied. The contents of fields intended for entering a phone number and email address are not displayed in plain form in session recordings.
The retention period of cookies depends on their purpose and may range from the current browser session to several years. The composition, names, retention periods and technical characteristics of individual cookies may be changed by the provider of the relevant service without prior notice.
Analytics cookies are used only after the user's consent has been obtained through the cookie management tool.
2.4. Marketing cookies
The Websites may use marketing cookies of the Yandex Direct and VK Ads services, designed to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, analyse user acquisition sources, measure conversions and generate statistical information on user interaction with advertising materials.
Marketing cookies may be used, in particular, for:
- identifying the sources of advertising clicks;
- recording target actions taken by users;
- evaluating the performance of advertising placements;
- analysing the effectiveness of individual advertising campaigns and user acquisition channels.
Marketing cookies are used only after the user's consent has been obtained through the cookie management tool.
2.5. Use of browser storage technologies and third-party services
In addition to cookies, the Websites may use Local Storage and Session Storage technologies, which allow information to be saved in the user's browser.
These technologies are used to the extent necessary to ensure the operation of certain services of the Websites, save technical parameters of the user session, process events and ensure the proper operation of web analytics services. These technologies are used for analytics and marketing purposes on the same terms as the corresponding categories of cookies.
To ensure the operation of the Websites, process user requests, obtain statistical information on Website traffic and analyse the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, the Operator uses the following third-party services:
- Tilda Publishing — for hosting the Websites and ensuring their operation;
- Yandex Metrica, including the Webvisor feature — for obtaining statistical information on the use of the Websites and analysing user behaviour;
- Yandex Direct — for analysing the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and user acquisition sources;
- VK Ads — for measuring the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, measuring conversions and analysing user acquisition sources;
- the Russian cloud version of the Bitrix24 information system — for receiving, storing and processing user requests submitted through contact forms on the Websites.
Information is processed using these services in accordance with applicable law and the terms of the contracts concluded. Where the processing of personal data is entrusted to a service provider, such processing is carried out on the instructions of the Operator.
When a user submits a request through a contact form, the information provided by the user may be transferred to the Russian cloud version of the Bitrix24 information system solely to the extent necessary to process the request and provide feedback. Such information may include the name, phone number, email address, the name of the camp or organisation represented, the content of the request, information about the page from which the request was sent, and information on the consent given to the processing of personal data.
The user can read the documents governing the processing of information by these services on the official websites of the respective right holders.
The list of cookies, other similar storage technologies and third-party services given in this Policy may change due to updates to the functionality of the Websites, the software used or third-party services. Such changes are reflected in this Policy in the manner provided for in section 4 of this Policy. If the changes require new consent from the user, the relevant technologies are used only after such consent has been obtained.
3. How to manage and delete cookies?
On the first visit to the Website, the user is shown a cookie management tool, through which the user can:
- accept the use of all cookies;
- allow the use of strictly necessary cookies only;
- choose which categories of cookies may be used.
The user may at any time change the previously selected cookie settings through the cookie management tool on the Website (the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of each page). The changed settings apply to further use of cookies and do not apply to information processed before the settings were changed, unless otherwise provided by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
If the user refuses the use of analytics and other non-essential cookies, or subsequently withdraws previously given consent, the Operator stops using the relevant cookies and similar storage technologies, except for strictly necessary cookies and technologies required to ensure the operation of the Websites.
In addition, the user may restrict the use of cookies or delete previously stored cookies through the settings of the browser they use. How cookies are managed depends on the browser and its version.
Restricting the use of or deleting strictly necessary cookies may lead to incorrect operation of certain sections of the Website, the inability to use certain features, or reduced stability of its operation.
Deleting cookies or restricting their use through browser settings does not always result in the automatic deletion of information previously obtained using such cookies. In the cases provided for by the legislation of the Russian Federation, the user may request the Operator to stop processing the relevant information if such processing is carried out by the Operator.
4. Policy updates
The Operator may amend this Policy in the event of changes in the requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation, the set of cookies and similar technologies used, the list of third-party services used or the purposes of their use, as well as changes in the functionality of the Website.
The new version of the Policy takes effect from the date it is published on both Websites, unless a later date is provided for in the new version.
If changes to the Policy relate to the use of new categories of cookies or a significant change in the purposes of their use, the Operator, where necessary, obtains the user's consent again through the cookie management tool.
